PLUSSM Rating Appeals Process

A building owner may dispute the final building classification, point total, or PLUS rating, as stated in the Building Rating letter and Countermeasures Confirmation report.

If the building owner wishes to appeal, then the appeal must be submitted in writing to BSC. The appeal letter must clearly state the basis for the appeal and clarify the specific reasons for the requested change. You may appeal in writing to the address at the bottom of the page or by email (be sure to put "BSC Appeal" in the subject line).

Then, BSC will recommend either acceptance or denial of the change requested. The review may also include requests for additional information or clarification transmitted to the applicant writing. The final determination will be communicated to the applicant by email and in writing.
