Building Security Certified Professional (BSCP™)
About the BSCP
The BSCP is a credential that demonstrates a comprehensive, multidisciplinary understanding of building security issues. This advanced certification program gives design and security professionals knowledge to identify opportunities to integrate security into every stage of the facility life cycle—planning, design, construction, and operation. A BSCP can address security considerations effectively in the integrated planning, design, construction, operation, and risk assessment of buildings.
A BSCP credential enables design and security professionals to participate in a multidisciplinary team compiling a submission for the PLUSSM building security rating program. A BSCP is equipped with knowledge of the PLUS Building Classification component, a required part of a PLUS submission.
